Hello,

It's been a wee while since I've had anything interesting to say. And I'm still not sure I do.

Started the new job and it's going grand so far, a little bit challenging to see how I'm going to manage it but there we go.

Just had a fabulous weekend in Kartong, long weekend this weekend cos we had the presidential elections, the president won and there has been dancing on the street, and lots of car horns being tooted, great fun. need to wait and see if tomorrow is a public holiday but Ramadan has started today so the celebrations had to be short and sweet! Well I say Ramadan has started but the first day is apparently not so strict, some people might just wait to start tomorrow. Anyway my point about the elections was that we went to Kartong, we were told we should stay in our houses for voting day and avoid any political meetings, so some of the volunteers packed up and spent the weekend there. By default I apparently organised it all but I'm not an organiser, and I don't like organising it seemed to work out fine though. Apart from the transport not turning up. The beach is just empty there apart from a couple of cows, I hadn't realised they were into sunbathing! it's rainy season so a holiday on the beach just now might not be the best plan but there was only one big storm and rain into the sea for that one which was funny, although apparently its not the safest thing to do but I'm not sure about that.

I'm having to write this at the internet cafe, my laptop is very sick and I'm scared to turn it on, so I will keep things short and sweet for now
